The SafetyNet Automatic Vehicle Location Interface (AVL) provides real-time geographical display of active units on workstations, and maintains a log of units' positions that can be replayed later displaying a unit's position over time.
The SafetyNet AVL Interface enhances SafetyNet CAD's automatic unit recommendation feature by providing CAD real-time unit location information. Without the SafetyNet AVL Interface, automatic unit recommendation is based on static information such as fire station location information, police beats, etc. By adding the integrated SafetyNet AVL Interface, the unit recommendation decision is based on the real-time location providing quicker emergency response and better allocation of resources.
The SafetyNet AVL Interface can either be operated using a dedicated radio channel or can share a channel with mobile data computers.
The SafetyNet AVL Interface normally requires the SafetyNet Mapping Interface and SafetyNet Mobile Data. Request Info »
